Rehabilitation Physician Training

Rehabilitation Medicine Training Program

The Faculty’s role covers the training of Rehabilitation Physicians, in both adult and paediatric fields.  To this end, the Faculty provides a clearly defined pathway in medical education. This leads to an internationally respected postgraduate professional qualification, the Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM (RACP)).

The training program is based on the apprenticeship model and consists of four years of clinical training as well an integrated component of formal education, which includes the completion of a series of training modules.

The Manual for Trainees details the Faculty's Rehabilitation Physician Training Programs and criteria for entry to training.
